Dear Friends,
We are all afraid in the western states,
of the smoke and fire, that engulfs so wide a territory in its vast reach, burning through wide swaths of our beloved forests, our national treasure, the trees that fuel our lungs.
…we want to gift them big bubbles….
Turbulent ebullient bubbles that are strong enough
to squelch the flames, pierce the pain,
refresh our spirits
and settle our nerves.
within the smoky haze, the bubbles will emerge,
and then we can play.
Wishing my friends who celebrate a sweet new year, and may each of us be as well and happy as is possible within the constructs of our lives.
Kind wishes,
Louise
