I hope this finds you continuing to be as well and as safely harbored as it is possible to be as we move forward as a society patiently quarantined or helping actively to address this global pandemic.
This past week, I have looked back at some of the vistas offered by the California Coastline and the distant shores of the Galapagos islands. I found myself gazing at their stark open beauty which in turn helped me to notice the sadness that I feel deep within my soul.
Then I moved myself along and shifted my views, to revisiting these beach scapes that I hope you will also find soothing as we witness and weather the storms that yet may bring surprising invitations to start rebuilding our lives as we start to see the peak nearing.
I have spent some time with these images; I remember wandering these shores and realize that I am in some ways grieving the loss of our customary daily lives, of connections in an easy fashion with those around us, and the ability to simply wander in the places we find so beautiful.
Kind wishes,
Louise
